In the heart of the Rías Baixas wine region lies the relatively young winery Paco & Lola. The winery is located around O Salnés and was founded in 2005, when a group of winegrowers decided to join forces. After all, there was plenty of knowledge and they had access to the finest grape clusters.
A cooperative was born and the winery grew rapidly. Many winegrowers saw the success and joined Paco & Lola, so that the count now stands at 400 different growers. In the Galician wine region, the pride of the area is used for the white wine: the Albariño grape, a variety that thrives in the relatively cool climate.
For this Paco & Lola, old vineyards planted with the Albariño grape are used. The old vines have stood for years in the powerful soil structure of Galicia, rich in limestone, pebbles and marl, allowing the vines to draw plenty of nourishment from the earth.
